Close the document cover on top of the document.
• Gently close the document cover and do not slam the cover. If the document cover is
slammed, the document may move and may not be scanned properly.
• Do not open or press down on the document cover during scanning.
• Be sure to close the document cover before scanning and do not look directly at the scanner
light. You may damage your eyes.
After scanning, open the document cover and remove the document.
Do the following to configure the driver:
• Open the Scanner Properties window.
• Select Flatbed from the Source drop-down list and click OK.
You are now ready to scan. Refer to the instructions for your scanning or document management
software application.
