14.7 General
The cross conveyors offer the possibility of forming a double swath, a single swath (working with
a cross-conveyor belt) or a triple swath (working with a cross conveyor belt). Cross conveyor
belts rotated down to the tedder hydraulically from a raised position to form the swaths. During
the rotation process, the conveyor belts are automatically turned on. The speed of the conveyor
belts can be pre-set with the aid of a rotary potentiometer (4). This setting determines the
discharge distance of the crops and thus the resulting swath width. To form three individual
swaths, the cross-conveyor belts are rotated up hydraulically. The conveyor belts switch off
automatically.

Warning - Transport / road travel
Effect: Damage to the machine
The cross conveyors must be moved to the working position for transport of the machine.
Before the machine is moved into transport position, the cross conveyors (3) must be moved
into working position. This ensures the cross conveyor belts cannot collide with each other
during the changeover to transport position.

14.7.2 Lowering the cross conveyor belts
• Move the flip switch (2) to the "Down" position (see chapter on Operation "Function of
switches on the control unit").
• Move the flip switch (3) to the "Right" position (see chapter on operation "Function of
switches on the control unit").
• Control unit (1) (red 1): raises and lowers the left cross conveyor.
• The control unit (2) (red 2): raises and lowers the right-hand cross conveyor.
