Checking the roller parallelism and gap
Stop (1) located on each side of the conditioner are
factory set to ensure the parallelism and minimum roller
gap.
- Readjust if necessary:
• Loosen the check nut (2).
• Tighten or loosen the stop screw (1).
• Re-tighten counter-nut.
- Readjust if necessary:
• Angularly shift the pinion (3) on the splined shaft so
that the profile of the upper roller is centered on the
lower roller.
• The play must be the same on each side of the
profile.
• The lower strand of the chain must be tensed..
Check minimum gap between rollers:
J = 2 to 3 mm (0.08’’ - 0.12’’)
Check parallelism over the whole roller
width.
Check the roller timing regularly.
