Do not make measurement with the battery compartment cover
removed.

NeverapplyvoltagetotheOUTPUTterminal.
a.To obtain output voltage from the OUTPUT terminal, connect a
suitablecordtothesuppliedoutputplug.
b.Slidetheterminalcovertotherighttoenclose
theCOMandV/nterminals.
Insertthe output plug into the OUTPUT
terminal for connection with a recorder or
otherrecordingdevice.
c.Set theFunction Selector switch to the
"400A" or"2000A" position. (The output is
available only in the two ranges.) Proceed to
measurementintheDCorACmode.
NOTE
 ◇
Duringcurrent measurement, keep the
transformer jaws fullyclosed. Otherwise,
accurate measurement cannot be made. The maximum
measurableconductorsizeis55mmindiameter.
 ◇
Unlike in DC current measurement, zero adjustment is not
necessaryinACcurrentmeasurement.Thereisnopolarityinthe
readingeither.
