    • L
      Lauren CampbellAug 16, 2025
If the LaCie Network Space 2 is not recognized by the computer, first ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements (refer to section 1.1). Check that the power supply is properly connected and the LED on the front of the drive is on (see section 2.2). If the LED is flickering, the power supply might be defective; contact LaCie support. Also, review the installation steps (section 2) and make sure both ends of the Ethernet cable are firmly connected.

Why doesn’t my LaCie Network Space 2 appear on the network?
    • A
      Amanda MartinAug 22, 2025
If the LaCie Network Space 2 doesn’t appear on the network, and your network is managed by a DHCP server, check your DHCP server’s log. For IP address settings, see section 4.8. If your network requires a static IP address, refer to section 2.5 for instructions.

Why can't I copy files larger than 4GB to my LaCie Network Hardware?
    • B
      Brittany RobertsonAug 26, 2025
If you can't copy a file larger than 4 GB to the LaCie Network Hardware, it might be due to the USB connection. When connected via USB, the drive uses MS-DOS (FAT32), which limits file sizes to 4 GB. Disconnect the USB cable and use the Ethernet cable instead. Also, ensure the drive’s power supply is properly connected and the outlet is working.

    • A
      Amanda RomeroAug 31, 2025
If the drive is making clicking noises, a soft clicking sound can be normal operation. However, if the drive is non-functional, it could be corrupted (try reformatting) or there might be a failure in the external power supply or cable (try a different one).
