Why can't I connect to the LaCie Wireless Space Network Hardware Dashboard?
    • E
      Ebony NicholsonAug 20, 2025
If LaCie Network Assistant detects the Wireless Space but you can't access the Dashboard, the issue might stem from your network settings. If you've set up your network with a static IP, ensure that the IP addresses for the Wireless Space fall within the same range (e.g., between 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.250). Also, verify that you're not using any proxies to access the Internet, as proxy settings can sometimes interfere with Dashboard connectivity.

    • J
      Jeffery CamachoAug 22, 2025
If media files on your LaCie Wireless Space aren't showing up on your UPnP AV media player, first, check the Dashboard's General Settings to ensure that the Media Servers option is enabled. Also, note that UPnP AV devices can only detect media files stored in OpenShare. Files in MyShare won't be accessible to these devices.

What to do if port forwarding no longer works on LaCie Wireless Space?
    • H
      howarddonnaAug 27, 2025
If you can no longer use port forwarding, go to the Dashboard Firewall page to check if the port forwarding rule is still valid. If it is not, re-enter the information. If you've added a new rule, make sure it doesn't conflict with any previous port forwarding rules. Try disabling UPnP IGD and NAT-PMP. Define a DHCP static lease rule for your target device in the Dashboard Network LAN page>DHCP static lease.

If you can't map MyShare, mapping OpenShare first might be the reason due to the login requirement. To fix this: 1. Unmap OpenShare in an Explorer window. 2. Map MyShare. 3. Finally, map OpenShare.

What to do if LaCie Wireless Space doesn't recognize USB drive?
    • M
      Melanie MartinSep 1, 2025
If a USB drive/key isn't recognized, ensure both ends of the USB cable are properly inserted into the ports on both the Wireless Space and the device. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cables after 10 seconds. If it's still not recognized, restart the Wireless Space. If the issue continues, try a different USB cable and/or USB expansion port on the Wireless Space and/or the device.

Why are there two drive icons for LaCie Wireless Space in Shared?
    • G
      galexanderSep 4, 2025
The icon marked 'Time Machine' is a virtual representation for a Time Machine compatible disk and is not a volume for use on the desktop. You can use MyShare, OpenShare, and USB volumes connected to the Wireless Space on the desktop. You can also choose MyShare or OpenShare for Time Machine backups.
