How to fix LaCie Ethernet Disk Network Hardware not seen by LaCie Network Assistant?
    • J
      Jordan WagnerAug 11, 2025
If the LaCie Network Assistant does not detect your LaCie Ethernet Disk, refresh the list and wait. If the issue persists, your network might be blocking UDP broadcasts. Connect the LaCie Ethernet Disk directly to the same hub as your workstation. If that doesn't work, use a crossed Ethernet cable to connect the LaCie Ethernet Disk to your workstation.

What to do if LaCie Ethernet Disk Network Hardware shows error messages when attempting to transfer data?
    • M
      Ms. Leslie BruceAug 22, 2025
If you encounter error messages when transferring data, especially with Mac OS 9.x, ensure all file and folder names are less than 27 characters. This limitation also applies in mixed Mac OS 9.x and 10.x environments. If using Mac OS 10.x and sharing files with Windows, avoid using these characters in names: ? [ ] \ / = + < > ; : “ , | *
