3.1 Parking Brake
WARNING!
ALWAYS set the parking brake before performing any set-up, inspection, adjust-
ments, or maintenance to the Lastec Mower!
ALWAYS release the parking brake before operating the Lastec Mower!
The parking brake is located to the left of the operator seat, just in front of the left steering
control arm. To set the parking brake, grasp the handle and pull upward, increasing the
brake tension, until the tension prevents any further travel of the handle.
To release the parking brake, pull upward on the handle to relieve the brake tension, and
slowly return the handle all the way down to its original position.
Brake tension can be adjusted by loosening or tightening the nut on the end of the ten-
sioner rod under the left side of the frame rail.
