  If your Leadshine DC drive motor stalls during acceleration, it could be due to several reasons. The current setting might be too small, requiring you to select a power supply with larger power or increase the drive's output current. The motor might be undersized, suggesting a motor with higher torque. Alternatively, the acceleration might be set too high, so try reducing it. Finally, the power supply voltage could be too low, so consider using a power supply with a larger voltage output.

What to do if my Leadshine DC Drives motor has erratic motion?

  If your Leadshine DC Drive motor is experiencing erratic motion, several factors could be at play. First, the control signal might be too weak; ensure its current is within 7-16mA. Second, the control signal might be interfered with; keep the control signal cable separate from the power cable. Third, there might be a wrong motor connection; refer to the user manual of both the drive and the motor datasheet. Finally, there could be something wrong with the motor coil; check to ensure the motor is functioning normally.

What does it mean when the Leadshine CS-D403 is in fault?

  If the Leadshine DC drive is in fault and the red light flashes twice in a 5-second period, it indicates that the power supply exceeds the maximum operation voltage. If the red light is always on after power on, this indicates that the drive is burned. If the red light flashes once in a 5-second period, the motor coil may short circuit or exiting the wrong wiring. If the red light flashes 7-times in a 5-second period, and you are using Leadshine’s motor, refer to motor wiring in datasheet; if using 3rd motor, need to swap the wiring of motor phase A+ and phase A-

  If you observe excessive heating in your Leadshine DC drive and motor, it could stem from a couple of causes. Inadequate heat sinking or cooling might be the issue. Also, the motor peak current setting might be too high; reduce the current value by referring to the motor datasheet.
