3.4 Move the Lotus from the transport position to the working
position
Make sure there are no persons in the area when you move the Lotus to the
headland position.
Make sure the safety guards are moved to the bottom position. Safety
guards in top position cause damage to the Lotus when moving from
transport position to the working position.
Procedure
1. On both sides of the Lotus, move the safety guard to the bottom
position.
2. Make sure all rotor wheel assemblies are set to the same position.
3. Operate the tractor hydraulic system (II) to lift the folded frame
upwards out of the transport support to position A (Figure 12, page 3‑
10).
4. Operate the tractor hydraulics system (I):
• to move the two outer rotor segments outwards until they are
completely out to position B (Figure 10, page 3‑8).
• to lower the frame and segments to the ground in position C
(Figure 10, page 3‑8).
5. If necessary perform the following steps to:
• adjust the tines (page 4‑1) of the other rotors to the applicable
position according to the spread of the crop,
• adjust the height of the rotor wheels (page 4‑2),
• adjust the rotor angle (page 4‑3),
6. Set the hydraulic valve in the tractor to the floating position.
7. Perform the procedure start tedding (page 3‑11).
