5.3 Corrective maintenance
Make sure that the PTO shaft is disengaged and the tractor engine is
switched off before maintenance is made.
5.3.1
Replace the Tine(s)
Purpose
This procedure tells you how to replace the tines, which are liable to wear or
can break by an excessive load.
Procedure
1. Stop the tractor and disengage the tractor PTO.
2. Disengage the lock from the tine.
3. Remove the nut from the bolt on top of the adjustment block.
4. Remove the bolt and bushings from the broken or worn-out tine.
Make sure the replaced tine has the same colour mark used on the rotor or
tine arm (L=Yellow and R=Blue).
5. Put the adjustment block in the centre part of the tine.
6. Slide the tine with the adjustment block on the tine arm.
7. Insert the bushings on both side of the new tine.
If necessary replace the worn-out bushings.
8. Insert the bolt through the bushing at the longest tine tooth.
9. Tighten the tine and the adjustment block together on the tine arm
with the nut and the bolt.
10. Move the tine to the required A or B position (Figure 14, page 4‑1).
