Lenovo ThinkServer RD240 - Hard Disk Drive Issues

CAUTION:
Theheatsinkmightbeveryhot.Turnofftheserverandwaitthreetoveminutestoletthe
servercoolbeforeremovingtheservercover.
Toinstalltheheatsink,dothefollowing:
Note:Makesurethatyouhavealreadyconnectedthefrontfanstothesystemboardbeforeyouinstall
theheatsink.
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.SeeRemovingtheservercover.
3.NoticetheorientationoftheheatsinkairowandtheV-shapedcoolingpipe.TheV-shapedcooling
pipeshouldalwaysfacethepowersupplyassembly.Then,aligntheretainingscrewsontheheatsink
withthecorrespondingholesinthesystemboard.Installthefourscrewsfollowingthenumerical
sequenceasshownbelow(
1to4)tosecuretheheatsinkonthesystemboard.
