Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoremovethesystemboard.
CAUTION:
Theheatsinkandmicroprocessormightbeveryhot.Turnofftheserverandwaitthreeto
veminutestolettheservercoolbeforeremovingtheservercover.
Toremovethesystemboard,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.SeeRemovingtheservercover.
3.Removethemicroprocessorfanduct.SeeRemovingthemicroprocessorfanduct.
4.Removetherisercardassembly.SeeRemovingtherisercardassembly.
5.Removetheheatsinkandamemorymodule.SeeRemovingtheheatsinkandRemovingamemory
module.
6.Removethebattery.SeeRemovingthesystemboardbattery.
7.Removethemicroprocessor.SeeRemovingthemicroprocessor.
