Replacingthefrontfanassembly
Attention:Donotopenyourserverorattemptanyrepairbeforereadingandunderstanding“Safetyinformation”

Dependingonthemodeltype,yourservermighthaveafrontfanassemblyinstalled.Thissectionprovides
instructionsonhowtoreplacethefrontfanassembly.
Toreplacethefrontfanassembly,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage19.
3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage20.
4.Disconnectthefrontfanassemblycablefromthepowerfanconnectoronthesystemboard.See
