DeletingRAIDvolumes
ThissectiondescribeshowtousetheIntelMatrixStorageManageroptionROMcongurationutilityto
deleteRAIDvolumes.
TodeleteRAIDvolumes,dothefollowing:
1.PressCtrl+IwhenpromptedtoentertheIntelMatrixStorageManageroptionROMcongurationutility
duringsystemstartup.
2.UsetheupanddownarrowkeystoselectDeleteRAIDVolumeandpressEnter.
3.UsethearrowkeystoselecttheRAIDvolumetobedeletedandpressDelete.
4.Whenprompted,pressYtoconrmthedeletionoftheselectedRAIDvolume.DeletingaRAIDvolume
willresettheharddiskdrivestonon-RAID.
5.AfterdeletingaRAIDvolume,youcan:
•Returntostep2todeleteadditionalRAIDvolumes.
•See“CreatingRAIDvolumes”onpage72forRAIDvolumecreation.
•UsetheupanddownarrowkeystoselectExitandpressEnter.
Resettingdiskstonon-RAID
Thissectiondescribeshowtoresetyourharddiskdrivestonon-RAID.
Toresetyourharddiskdrivestonon-RAID,dothefollowing:
1.PressCtrl+IwhenpromptedtoentertheIntelMatrixStorageManageroptionROMcongurationutility
duringsystemstartup.
2.UsetheupanddownarrowkeystoselectResetDiskstoNon-RAIDandpressEnter.
3.Usethearrowkeysandthespacekeytomarkindividualphysicalharddiskdrivestobereset,andthen
pressEntertocompletetheselection.
4.Whenprompted,pressYtoconrmtheresetaction.
5.Afterresettingtheharddiskdrivestonon-RAID,youcan:
•See“DeletingRAIDvolumes”onpage73forRAIDvolumedeletion.

•UsetheupanddownarrowkeystoselectExitandpressEnter.
Updatingthermware
Thermwareintheserverisperiodicallyupdatedandthelatestrmwareisalwaysavailablefordownloading
fromtheLenovoWebsite.
Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/driversandfollowtheinstructionsontheWebpagetocheckforthelatest
levelofrmware,suchastheBIOSupdatesanddevicedrivers.
Whenyoureplaceadeviceintheserver,youmighthavetoeitherupdatetheserverwiththelatestversionof
thermwarethatisstoredinmemoryonthedeviceorrestorethepreexistingrmwarefromadisketteor
CDimage.
