11 Upgrade/downgrade of the controller
The controller rmware to be installed can be obtained via the »Package Manager«.
Precondions with engineering PC:

Lenze »Package Manager«
•
Installed Lenze »Firmware loader«
•
USB ash drive with at least 200 MB free memory
The rmware package to be installed via the »Package-Manager« is selected via the
Lenze »Firmware loader«. The selected rmware is then copied to the USB ash drive inserted
in the engineering PC.
How to install the rmware:
1. Insert the prepared USB ash drive into USB port 1 X61 or USB port 2 X62 on the controller.
2. Restart the controller by line voltage switching.
When starng up with an inserted USB ash drive, the rmware is transferred to the device
and installed. The controller then restarts automacally.
Aer the rmware has been updated successfully, the USB ash drive can be removed.
The rmware on the USB ash drive is stored in the controller as well as on the

LED status display
"STA" LED (yellow/green) Meaning
Update/Downgrade process is running.
Update/Downgrade process is carried out.
The rmware update can be detected by the status LEDs of the controller. Details on the
update are entered in the logbook.
