2.2 Device and application-specific safety instructions
• During operation, the Communication Unit must be connected to the Wiring Unit and the Drive
Unit.
• With external voltage supply, always use a separate power supply unit, safely separated to EN
61800-5-1 in every control cabinet (SELV/PELV).
2.3 Residual hazards

• The Communication Unit contains electronic components that can be damaged or destroyed by
electrostatic discharge.
