3 Release the clips.
4 Remove the air cleaner hose.
5 Lift the air cleaner cover upwardly
together with the air cleaner hose.
6 Take out the air cleaner filter.
Inspect the outer surface of the filter,
and replace the filter if it is extremely
dirty. If the filter is only moderately
dusty, use compressed air to blow dust
out of the filter.

To prevent inhaling dust
Wear a respirator when using com-
pressed air to clean the air cleaner filter.

To prevent damaging the engine
●
Do not drive with the air cleaner filter
removed. Doing so causes excessive
engine wear.
●
When removing the air cleaner filter,
do not hit or drop it, as it may contain
dust, sand. etc.
