LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT
1. WHAT THIS WA R R A N T Y C O V E R S :
LG offe r s you a limited wa rranty that the enclosed subscriber unit and its encl o s e d
a c c e s s o ries will be free from defects in mat e r ial and wo rk m a n s h i p ,a c c o r ding to
the fo l l owing terms and conditions:
( 1 ) The limited wa r ranty for the unit and enclosed accessories shall be a peri o d
of one (1) year from the date of ori g inal purch a s e. The remaining wa rra n t y
p e riod for the unit being rep a i r ed or replaced shall be determined by
p re s e n t ation of the ori g inal sales receipt for the purchase of the unit.
( 2 ) The limited wa r ranty extends only to the ori g inal purchaser of the pro d u c t
and is not assignable or tra n s fe rable to any subsequent purchaser/end user.
( 3 ) The limited wa r ranty is good only to the ori g inal purchaser of the pro d u c t
d u r ing the wa r ranty period as long as it is in the U. S. , i n cluding A l a s k a ,
H awa i i ,U . S . Te r r i t o ri e s , and all Canadian Prov i n c e s .
( 4 ) The ex t e r nal housing and cosmetic parts shall be free of major defects at the
time of shipment and, t h e re fo r e, shall not be cove red under these limited
wa r ranty term s .
( 5 ) Upon request from LG,the consumer must provide info rm ation sat i s fa c t o r y
to LG to prove the date of purchase or ex ch a n g e.
( 6 ) The customer shall bear the cost of shipping the product to the Customer
S e r vice Dep a r tment of LG. LG shall bear the cost of shipping the pro d u c t
b a ck to the consumer after the completion of service under this limited
wa r r a n t y.
2. WHAT THIS WA R R A N T Y DOES NOT COVER:
(1 ) D e f ects or damage resulting from use of the product in other than its norm a l
and customary manner.
( 2 ) D e f ect or damage from ab n o rmal use, ab n o rmal conditions, i m p ro p e r
s t o rage, ex p o s u r e to moisture or dampness, u n a u t h o ri z ed modifi c at i o n s ,
u n a u t h o ri z ed connections, u n a u t h o ri z ed rep a i r , m i s u s e, n eg l e c t , abu s e ,
a c c i d e n t ,a l t e r a t i o n ,i m p roper installat i o n ,or other acts wh i ch are not the fa u l t
of LG, i n cluding damage caused by shipping,bl own fuses,or spills of fo o d
or liquid.
( 3 ) B re a k age or damage to antennas unless caused dire c t ly by defects in mat e ri a l
or wo rk m a n s h i p .
( 4 ) A l l e ged defects or malfunctions of the product if the Customer Serv i c e
D ep a rtment at LG was not notified by the consumer during the ap p l i c a b l e
limited wa r ranty peri o d.
( 5 ) P ro d u c t s , w h i c h have had the serial nu m b e r ,re m oved or made illegi bl e.
