4.6.4 Regulation method of outer side
and side stop of portal frame
1) Check the side limit wear extent (guide
cover plate thickness); replace the side stop
if the wear extent is > 5mm (guide cover plate
thickness > 5mm). Add adjusting shims as
shown in Figure 4-33 after replacement; if
the wear extent is ≤ 5mm, add adjusting
shims as shown in Figure 4-34.
2) Measure if the center distances L1 and L2
of the middle rear axles in the left and right
sides have errors; if no error exists, the
adjustment is ended. If there is any error,
perform the third step.
3) If L1 and L2 have errors, use the jack for
correction (make correction while placing
the jack between the frame and the push rod
support) until L1 are L2 are equal. After L1
and L2 have been well adjusted, adjust the
side stop with the method same as the first
step.
