7)Parking brake
The parking brake system prevents the vehicle from moving
after the engine is turned off.
When the driver leaves the cab and the engine
is in operation, the transmission must be placed in neutral N
and the parking brake must be fully functional.
When the engine is turned off, the driver must leave the
vehicle for the neutral N, and must apply the parking brake.
Because the engine is turned off, the transmission output
shaft and the engine are not directly mechanically connected,
and if no parking brake is applied, the vehicle may be
moved.
8)Trailer and taxiing precautions
As the automatic transmission pump driven by the engine,
the pump will change with the engine speed and the
corresponding changes. The oil pump in the transmission has
many functions, one of which is to provide lubricants. If
there is no engine speed (when trailer), or below the
expected speed (taxiing), must be noted.
When the trailer, the drive shaft must be disconnected from
the transmission, or the drive axle from the ground, or
remove the drive shaft of the drive wheel.
