Ensure existing deadbolt operates smoothly before installing Lockly Access Touch.
List of tools needed for installation, including screwdrivers and an optional wood file.
Detach the current lock and retain the deadbolt mechanism.
Identify deadbolt style and modify door hole if necessary to prevent cable pinching.
Select mounting plate, route sensor cable through deadbolt hole.
Align sensor based on deadbolt diameter and tighten mounting screws.
Guide cable, insert sleeve, align flush, and press sensor to door.
Ensure deadbolt is extended, remove key, and reinstall the deadbolt assembly.
Select adapter, attach positioning tool to form adapter assembly.
Secure gasket, route cable, and attach adapter assembly to deadbolt spindle.
Test smooth operation, adjust alignment, then secure interior assembly with screws.
Connect sensor cable, tuck it, and ensure interior thumb turn is vertical before merging.
Install batteries, then press and hold the program button for self-check.
Confirm smooth lock function, then attach the battery cover securely.
