position. A circuit breaker which is supplying a load may be
turned off manually, but this may affect service to the load. If a
breaker has tripped off (the handle will be between the ON and
OFF positions), the overcurrent problem should be cleared
before restoring power to the load and resetting the breaker. See
“Troubleshooting,” below, for information on tripped breakers.
