MSTI Mapping
When you implement Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol on the Switch the CIST is not available for explicit Mapping as it
will receive BPDUs from VLANs not explicitly Mapped to the CIST. You must set the list of VLANs Mapped to the MSTI if
there is more than one VLAN configured within the CIST. If entering multiple VLANs they can be separated by a comma
or space. A VLAN can only be Mapped to one MSTI. Any unused MSTI should be left empty.
To configure MSTI Mapping, select Configuration > Spanning Tree > MSTI Mapping from the navigation menu.
MSTI Configuration
Configuration Identification
Configuration Name: Allows you to set the Name identifying the VLAN to MSTP Instance Mapping. Bridges must share
the same Name, Revision and VLAN-to-MSTI Mapping configuration in order to share Spanning Trees within the MSTI
Region. The Name must be configured and can have a maximum of 32 characters, the permitted characters are Numbers,
Uppercase letters, Lowercase letters and Hyphens.
Configuration Revision: Allows you to set the Revision of the MSTP Instance Named above. The value must be an
integer between 0-65535.
MSTI Mapping
MSTI: Displays the MSTI ID that corresponds to the MSTI Mapping row.
