❏ Adjust channel aux levels to onboard or outboard
effects from Fader Bank 2 (TAPE IN).
❏ Verify that Master Output is connected to the
mixdown machine.
The mix should be arriving at the mixdown
recorder. It’s good to check this as part of your
tracking process. At the conclusion of a session the
artist will probably want to take a rough mix for
evaluation—you’ll look better if it’s already set to go.

❏ Record a pass on the multitrack
Play multitrack back—playback should sound
identical to tracking and you’re ready to print a
rough mix.
