CabinetMounting
Toinstallthecabinet:
Selectaclean,dry,shock,andvibration‐freesurfaceinaprotectedenvironment.
Positionthecabinetclearofobstructionssothatthefrontdooropensfreelyandthecontrolsand
indicatorsareeasilyaccessible.
Markthelocationsofthetwouppermountingboltsof
thecabinetonthewall.
Therearetwokey‐shapedcutoutsonthetopofthebackbox.Makesuretheendwith
thetwokey‐shapedcutoutsisontopwheninstallingthebackbox.
Drillthetwoholesmarkedinthepreviousstepandscrewinthetopbolts,leavingasmallgapbetween
thewallandeachtopbolt.
Chooseascrewtypeandlengthabletosupportthecontrolpanel,options,andbattery
set.Youmayneedadifferentscrewtypedependingonthewallmaterial.
Placethecabinetoverthetwotopboltsandallowittoslidedownoverthebolts.
Mark,drill,andinstallthetwobottomboltsinthecabinet.
Tightenallfourboltssecurelyagainstthebackwallofthecabinet.
RemoveKnock‐Outs
Preparetheenclosureforelectricalwiringbybreakingouttheappropriateconduitentrypoints.Theoptional
knockoutlocationsandquantitiesareshowninFigure14.Thepowerlimitedandnon‐powerlimitedconductors
mustbeseparated.Inordertomaintaintheminimumseparation,followthewireroutingshowninFigure14.
At
least1/4in.isrequiredbetweenthenon‐powerlimitedandpowe rlimitedconductors.Powerlimitedand
non‐powerlimitedwiringmustberuninaseparateconduit.
Attachconduit(ifrequired)andrunwiresasrequired.Labeleachfieldcableforfuturereference.
Basicsystemwiringanddetectorpositioning
mustbedoneinaccordancewithNFPA72orotherapplicable
codesandinstructionsfromtheappropriatelocalauthorityhavingjurisdiction.Unitconnectionsandlimitations
areasindicatedonthewiringdiagramsincludedintheSYSTEMWIRINGsectionofthismanual.
