CabinetMounting
Toinstallthecabinet:
Selectaclean,dry,shock,andvibrationfreesurfaceinaprotectedenvironment.
Positionthecabinetclearofobstructionssothatthefrontdooropensfreelyandthecontrolsand
indicatorsareeasilyaccessible.
Markthelocationsofthetwouppermountingboltsof
thecabinetonthewall.
Therearetwokeyshapedcutoutsonthetopofthebackbox.Makesuretheendwith
thetwokeyshapedcutoutsisontopwheninstallingthebackbox.
Drillthetwoholesmarkedinthepreviousstepandscrewinthetopbolts,leavingasmallgapbetween
thewallandeachtopbolt.
Chooseascrewtypeandlengthabletosupportthecontrolpanel,options,andbattery
set.Youmayneedadifferentscrewtypedependingonthewallmaterial.
Placethecabinetoverthetwotopboltsandallowittoslidedownoverthebolts.
Mark,drill,andinstallthetwobottomboltsinthecabinet.
Tightenallfourboltssecurelyagainstthebackwallofthecabinet.
RemoveKnockOuts
Preparetheenclosureforelectricalwiringbybreakingouttheappropriateconduitentrypoints.Theoptional
knockoutlocationsandquantitiesareshowninFigure14.Thepowerlimitedandnonpowerlimitedconductors
mustbeseparated.Inordertomaintaintheminimumseparation,followthewireroutingshowninFigure14.
At
least1/4in.isrequiredbetweenthenonpowerlimitedandpowe rlimitedconductors.Powerlimitedand
nonpowerlimitedwiringmustberuninaseparateconduit.
Attachconduit(ifrequired)andrunwiresasrequired.Labeleachfieldcableforfuturereference.
Basicsystemwiringanddetectorpositioning
mustbedoneinaccordancewithNFPA72orotherapplicable
codesandinstructionsfromtheappropriatelocalauthorityhavingjurisdiction.Unitconnectionsandlimitations
areasindicatedonthewiringdiagramsincludedintheSYSTEMWIRINGsectionofthismanual.
