DriftCompensation
TheDriftCompensationisbuiltintoacompatibledetectorandisnotperformedbythepanel.Drift
compensationautomatica llyadjustsforgraduallyincreasingeffectsofdustandotheraccumulationsofdirtin
thedetectors.Itwilladjustthethresholdstocompensateforadetectorgoingdi rtyaccordingtothegradual
change
inthenormalcleanairvaluereceived.Whenitcannolongercompensateforanincreasinglydirty
detector,adirtydetectortrouble(Contaminationtrouble)isindicatedforthatdevice.
AlarmVerification
TheAlarmVerificationfunctionissupportedbythispanel.Onetypicalalarmverificationphasecanbedivided
into2periods.ThefirstperiodisaretardperiodinwhichnoalarmreportsontheFireAlarmControlPanel
(FACP).Thesecondperiodisaconfirmationperiodinwhichalarmreportson
theFireAlarmControlPanelifa
deviceisinalarmstatus.ThedetailalarmverificationphaseisillustratedinFigure32.
