3.8.2 CLOSING VALVE – BLACKWATER OUTLET
The closing valve for Blackwater outlet is placed in the engine room.

WARNING:
When the valve handle is across the hose, then it is closed (Figure 3 above).
When the valve handle is placed parallel with the hose, then it is open (Fig. 3 below).

WARNING:
Check frequently for leakage. Do not leave the valve open without regular controls. It is
advisable to keep the unused valves closed at all times, for prevention of eventual
flooding.
