3.1.5 Quick zero-setting with handle
a) Put selector switch 12 (Figure 1), if present, in position

b) Turn knob 1 toward SET UP as far as it will go.
c) Bring the head to its measuring position.
d) Bring the contacts on the sample workpiece.
e) Turn knob 1 toward RUN as far as it will go, without pressing on the contacts.
f) If necessary, act on zero-setting potentiometer 13 (Figure 1) so as to cause the
meter to read zero.
g) By means of selector switch 12 (Figure 1), verify whether both contacts are
within the range of the meter. If they are not, repeat the zero-setting operations.

B) Measuring head with 1 contact
