Flow Unit Conversion
To convert flow units, locate the appropriate flow unit conversion factor in Table III. Then multiply
the existing unit's conversion factor to get the new unit's.
Table III Flow Unit Conversion Factors
Example:
Convert 20 ft
3
/sec (CFS) to millions of gallons per day (MGD).
Solution:
From: Table III, conversion factor = 0.64632
Then: 20 ft
3
/sec x 0.64632 = 12.9264 MGD
