5 COMMUNICATION MODULE
The CS15TL/CS20TL is equipped with a detachable
communication module for mounting the alarm wiring. It
also facilitates inserting the MasterBus and RS485 plugs.
The left gland is reserved for RS485 and alarm wiring, the
right gland for the MasterBus wiring.
Install the communication wiring, see the steps below:
• Loosen the Phillips screws at both sides of the front
plate (see figure 6).
• Pull out the module, taking care not to damage the
connectors and components.
• Release glands and remove plugs where applicable.
• Insert the plugs and mount the alarm wiring. See the
label in figure 7 for more information.
MasterBus connectors are similar to RS485
connectors! Wrong installation causes
communication failure.
5.1 ALARM CONTACTS
See figure 7, left part. The three alarm contacts (maximum
load 30V/1A) are Common (Com), Normally Open (NO)
and Normally Closed NC), see figure 8.
5.2 RS485 CONNECTORS
The two connectors in the middle are RS485 connectors.
They can be used for connecting up to 20
CS15TL/CS20TL inverters. They also connect your
inverter to an optional Datalogger or a PC for remote
monitoring. We recommend not to make a ringnetwork or
T-connections in your RS485 network. The maximum
network length is 1000m. See chapter Specifications for
more information.
