6.6 DC DISTRIBUTION
The CS15TL/CS20TL has two independent solar inputs.
To accommodate more than two strings, a StringMaster
string box is available especially for the CS15TL/CS20TL.
Refer to the StingMaster manual for installation
instructions. To release the MultiContact connectors, use
of the special MultiContact tool is recommended.
When more than three stings are paralleled, they must be
fused. For fuse ratings refer to specifications of used fuse.
All strings connected to the same Solar-input should
consist of an equal number of identical PV modules.
Measure the solar voltage for each input.
The calculated string voltage equals the open circuit
voltage (Uoc) per PV module (refer to the specifications of
the PV module), multiplied by the number of PV modules
in each string.
Depending on the solar irradiation and temperature, the
measured string voltage amounts to 70-95% of the
calculated value.
Note that the maximum power connected to each Solar-
input shall not exceed 13 kWp for the CS20TL and 10 kWp
for the CS15TL. The total input power must be distributed
equally over the two Solar-inputs as much as possible.
