General inspection
• Regularly check as to whether all fixing screws have been securely tightened.
Pay special attention to the outer flange. Vibration may cause the screws to
come loose over time.
Changing the carbon brushes
• Only have the carbon brushes replaced by a qualified workshop or qualified
professionals.
Checking the condition of the saw
• Regularly check the mains cord of the saw as well as all extension cords used
for damage. Have the mains cord replaced by an authorised workshop if you
identify damage. Replace damaged extension cords.
• Regularly check whether dust or debris have penetrated the vents next to the
motor and around the trigger switch. Use a soft brush to remove any dust that
has accumulated. Wear protective goggles while cleaning.
Cleaning
• If necessary, clean the housing of the tool with a soft, damp cloth. Mild cleaner
may be used, but never alcohol, petrol or other aggressive cleaners.
• Use a soft brush to remove chips or blow them away with compressed air.
Lubrication
• Lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
• Have the oil in the saw gears replaced after prolonged use. Contact an
authorised workshop for this.
Storage
• Clean the saw thoroughly before you put it into storage (see chapter
“Cleaning”).
• If possible, store the clean saw and the accessories in the original packaging.
Transport
• First move the saw head to the transport/basic position (see chapter
“Transport/basic position”).
• Lift the saw by the side carrying handles.
• Do not carry the saw by the upper bench or motor.
• Secure the saw to prevent it from slipping or falling over when transporting
it in a vehicle.
• If possible, transport the saw in the original packaging.
