X-CTU Software
Using the X-CTU Software
X-CTU is MaxStream-provided software used to interface with and configure XStream OEM RF
odules. The software application is organized into the following four tabs:
• PC Settings tab - Setup PC serial ports to interface with an XStream Module assembly
• Range Test tab – Test XStream Module's range and monitor packets sent and received
• Terminal tab – Set and read XStream Module parameters using AT Commands
• Modem Configuration tab – Set and read XStream Module parameters

Setup
To use the X-CTU software, a module assembly (XStream Module mounted to a MaxStream XIB-
-R Interface Board) must be connected to the serial port of a PC. The data rate and parity
ust match those of the module (BD (Baud Rate)

A terminal program is built into the X-CTU Software. Other terminal programs such as
yperTerminal” can also be used. When issuing AT Commands through a terminal program
