Operating Instructions
DO NOT operate this machine until you have read and understood the Safety section of this manual,
have performed the Jobsite Inspection, Pre-Start Inspection and Routine Maintenance, and have
completed all the test operations detailed in the Operating Instructions section.
This section provides instructions for each function of machine operation. Follow all safety rules and
instructions.
This machine may be operated by trained and authorized personnel only. If multiple operators use
this machine, all must be qualified and authorized to use it. New operators must perform a Pre-Start
Inspection and Functions Test prior to operating the machine.
Operators must comply with employer, job site and governmental rules regarding the use of personal
protective equipment – see Fall Protection on page 3.
Prestart
Perform Prestart Inspection (see page 26).
Check base control Emergency Stop Switch – turn clockwise to reset.
Check platform control Emergency Stop Switch – turn clockwise to reset.
Check Battery Disconnect Switch in Control Module next to Base Controls.
Must be in ON position.
Starting Engine from Lower Control Panel
Be sure that the upper and lower EMERGENCY STOP Switches are reset.
Lower Control Box: Hold switch in upper position until engine starts.
Release when engine starts then the switch will return to ON position.
