9.2 Detergent and rinse aid

Chemical product settings
The required detergent and rinse aid are dispensed from storage containers into the
tank or boiler by electronically controlled dosing equipment. Dosing occurs automati-
cally based on the requirements for the washing process.
The correct settings for the quantity of detergent and rinse aid depend on the prod-
uct used. The relevant chemical supplier can install the correct setting.
Recommendations:
– The pH value of the detergent should be greater than 7.
– The pH value of the rinse aid should be between 7 and 2.
Change of products
Change of product means that one rinse aid or detergent is replaced by another. If
these different products are mixed, it can lead to unwanted occurrences, such as
precipitations.
• Before using new products, thoroughly rinse the hoses and dosing units with
warm water.
