1.2.3 EMERGENCY MODE
In Emergency Mode, aircraft power to the instrument has been lost and the unit
continues to operate in Flight Mode utilizing power from the internal battery. The battery
icon is displayed as shown in Figure 1.3.

1.2.4 CONFIGURATION MODE
In Configuration Mode, an authorized installer can change and set the appropriate
configuration values that are specific to the aircraft. These also include user preferences
that are not available during flight and certain maintenance functions as well. The top
level menu in Configuration Mode is shown in Figure 1.4.
