Applications
Example PMD Programming
If you do not have the characterization chart for the PMD then you will have
to create the chart yourself by measuring the head and flow at multiple
points. It is much easier to use the chart supplied by your PMD
manufacturer.
All nine programmable breakpoints must be entered in ascending order
(lowest to highest) for OCM to work.
Note:
When the MiniRanger is in Program mode no measurements are taken
and the current total is reset to zero. This means that the totalizer relay
(relay 2) will not trip when the MiniRanger is in Program mode and the
external totalizer will read low.
Run the PMD at different head levels and verify the OCM reading given on
the MiniRanger to double-check the programming. If this is not possible at
least double-check the breakpoints for accuracy.
