NOTE
Additional information specific to the Masimo sensors compatible with the equipment, including
information about parameter/measurement performance during motion and low perfusion, may be
found in the sensor's directions for use (DFU).
Masimo cables and sensors are provided with X-Cal™ technology to minimize the risk of inaccurate
readings and unanticipated loss of patient monitoring. Refer to the Cable or Sensor DFU for the
specified duration of the patient monitoring time.
The SpO
2
extension cable should be compatible with the SpO
2
connectors. For example, you can
only connect the Mindray SpO
2
extension cable to the Mindray SpO
2
connectors.
The SpO
2
simulator can be used to verify the accuracy of the SpO
2
sensor.

13.2.1 Setting SpO
2
Sensitivity (for Masimo SpO
2
)
CAUTION
When using the Maximum Sensitivity setting, performance of “SpO2 Sensor Off” detection may be
compromised. If the equipment and the sensor becomes detached from the patient, the potential
for false readings may occur due to environmental noise such as light, and vibration.
13.3 SpO
2
Desat Alarm
NOTE
In the case that the SpO
2
low limit alarm value is set below the Desat limit, the SpO
2
low limit is
automatically adjusted to the Desat value.
