Lights
The 6390’s MWI light turns on and, in certain scenarios, flashes to indicate when something needs
your attention (for example, when the phone rings, when the extension is in use, when a call is on
hold, and so on).
The following table lists the scenarios when the MWI light turns on as well as describes any additional
behavior.
In addition to the MWI, lights are located beside the Mute , Hold , and
Speaker/Headset keys that turn on when the feature is enabled.
Scenario MWI Light Behavior
Incoming call MWI light flashes quickly.
Call is on hold MWI light flashes moderately.
Extension in use MWI light turns on continuously.
CFD On MWI light turns on continuously.
DND On MWI light turns on continuously.
Message Waiting MWI light flashes slowly.
Note: The LED beside the Speaker/Headset key is bi-color. Red indicates the call is on
speakerphone, while blue indicates the call is on the headset.
