The standard for adjusting the clearance between the needle and the blade point of the shuttle
Use a standard Schmetz 794-Nm230 needle.
(1) Adjust the clearance (NO.) between the convex section of needle (NO.) and driver
(NO.) to 0.
(2) Align the needle center with the blade point of shuttle (NO.) and press the NO. section of
the needle against the driver (NO.).
(3) Adjust the clearance NO. section to a minimum, with the needle (NO.) pressed against
the driver (NO.), making sure that the needle (NO.) does not contact the blade point of
the shuttle (NO.).
By this adjustment the needle-to-shuttle blade point clearance will be 0.25~0.35 mm.
