Safety Precautions
Read these "Safety Precautions" thoroughly before operating the product to use
it properly.
These safety precautions include such information as to prevent injury to the
operator and other persons, damage to property and product defects. Be sure to
observe these precautions carefully.
DANGER
Do not use the product in areas where volatile gases may be generated.
There is a risk of igniting the gas.
WARNING
Theproductisnottoberepairedormodiedbytheusers.
If the product is dropped or otherwise damaged, turn the power OFF and remove
the battery, and then contact the agent where you purchased the product or a
Mitutoyo sales/service representative.
Besuretousetheproductspeciedinthisdocumentwhenanoptionalitemis
required.
■Handling batteries
This product uses a lithium metal battery (CR2032). Observe the following
precautions in use.
WARNING
Always keep batteries out of reach of children. If swallowed, consult a physician
immediately.
Batteries should never be short-circuited, disassembled, deformed or come in
contactwithextremeheatorames.
Ifalkalineliquidfromthebatterycomesincontactwiththeeyes,usheyes
immediately with clean water and consult a physician. If alkaline liquid from battery
comesincontactwiththeskin,ushtheexposedareathoroughlywithcleanwater.
CAUTION
Never attempt to charge the primary battery. Never reverse the positive-negative
terminals when mounting. Improper battery handling or mounting may cause
the battery to explode, cause battery leakage and/or serious bodily injury or
malfunctioning.
