Problem Cause Solution
There is variance in
the measurement
values.
The tip of the stylus contacted
the workpiece with excessive
force.
Slowly bring the tip of the stylus into contact
with the workpiece.
The holder clamp knob is loos-
ened.
Tighten the holder clamp knob.
The probe unit vi-
brates when making
plane scanning mea-
surements.
In some cases, the probe unit
vibrates depending on the
condition of the surface of the
workpiece.
Change the spanning direction, and if the
vibration stops, limit the movements to that
direction.

The product is used in environ-

interference exceeds require-

Directive.
y The product returns to the normal opera-
tion when the electromagnetic interference
caused by static electricity is eliminated.
y If the AC or DC power line experiences
electromagnetic interference, measure
again after checking the power line's sur-
rounding area.
y If the voltage of the power supply decreas-
es, the product will return to normal opera-
tion after the voltage is restored.
