S7 and PB DP
On-line Diagnosis Using Step 7 Version 3.1
From Step 7 Version 3.1 onwards, it is possible to perform on-line
diagnosis on the decentralised periphery via the PB master (see the
following example of a S7 300 with the CPU 315-2 DP.
It is important that the Cat. No. is 6ES7 315-2AF01-0AB0 - and not
.......-2AF00-......
If the older -2AF00- is used, it is not possible to perform an on-line
diagnosis of the slaves.
Firstly, select the connected master (e.g. MPI = 2; see example
above) in the on-line mode. The hardware can be diagnosed using
the PLC menu.
