b. Secure each hook to the slots in the Solar Panel frame.
3. Choose one of the following options:
If... Then...
If this is a
dual solar
panel or du-
al battery
deployment,
install the Expansion Solar Panel Battery:
a. Obtain each item from the kit.
b. Orient the Expansion Solar Panel Battery with the ports and mounting holes
facing the same sides as the existing Solar Panel Battery.
c. Insert the battery into the Solar Panel frame.

d. Insert the Battery Mounting Hardware so that the screw threads are facing
towards the panel, and secure the battery with the locking nuts.
e. Unscrew the covers from the battery tie ports on both batteries.
f. Connect the Battery Tie Cable to both battery tie ports by rotating the cable
connectors until they seat into the ports.
NOTE: The Battery Tie Cable connectors and battery tie ports are
keyed so that they can only connect when rotated into the correct po-
sition.
g. Tighten down the locking sleeve on both connectors.
h. Go to step Step 4.
If this is a
single solar
panel or sin-
gle battery
deployment,
go to step Step 4.
