Entering and Exiting the Warning Alert
Prerequisites: The device is in the standby state.
Procedure:
1. To turn on the Warning Alert mode, press and hold either the Fast Forward or the Rewind button.
The device emits a warning alert tone. The tone level increases gradually until it reaches the
maximum level.
The maximum level of this warning alert tone is independent of the volume knob position.
2. To exit the Warning Alert mode, reset the device.

Privacy
This feature allows you to disable the ability to monitor the channel when you press and hold the Reset
button.
The privacy feature is not enabled when Push-To-Listen is enabled for silent scan or selective call modes.
The following are the two available options:
On
Pressing and holding the Reset button does not place the device in the monitor mode.
Off
Pressing and holding the Reset button places the device in the monitor mode.

Always On
This feature allows you to keep the device On irrespective of the On/Off knob position.
The following are the two available options:
On
The device does not turn Off when the On/Off knob is switched to the Off position.
Off
The device turns Off when the On/Off knob is switched to the Off position.
NOTE: When the Always On feature is enabled, power cycle the device when reinserting the battery by
switching the volume knob from Off to On position.

Battery Save Mode
This feature allows you to set the device sleep cycle during inactive period.
Shorter sleep cycle improves the device alert reliability with more battery usage.
The following are the three available options:
Normal
Sleep time in Selective Call, Monitor, Priority Scan, Normal Scan, and Silent Scan is set to 430 ms.
