3 Check the Foot switch option, choose a MIDI channel,
and click OK.
4 Back in the Presets window, make note of the patch
number for the preset you want to select with the foot
switch.
5 Go to the Pedal window and add a Pedal On or Pedal
Off MIDI patch change event with a patch change number
that matches the preset you want. Also make sure the MIDI
channel number matches.
See “Setting up the foot switch output data on page 100
for details.
When you reach the patch change event in the list, you’ll
switch to the new preset.
Make sure your preset patch change is the last event in
the foot switch data list for the preset you are currently
programming because when you switch to the new preset,
the foot switch data list will change to the new presets list.

This feature can be used for many purposes. Below are a
few ideas:

Slaving a sequencer to a click track
Tr igger ing dr um sa mples
This feature can be used with MOTU’s Digital Performer
software to slave a sequence to prerecorded music on tape
while referenced to SMPTE time code. For more
