Placement of boundary wire on slopes
The upper boundary wire should not be placed on slopes steeper than 35% (20°). The upper
boundary wire should have a distance of at least 30 cm between any obstacles. The lower
boundary wire should not be placed on slopes steeper than 17% (10°). The lower boundary
wire should have a distance of at least 40 cm between any obstacles when it is positioned
on a slope that is 17%.
The lower boundary wire cannot be laid across a slope steeper than
17%.
Otherwise the mower will slip and run outside the wire, especially when the grass is wet.
Pay close attention on slopes towards a garden pond.
Your robot does not have stair or pond sensors.
Paths, driveways and pavements
Exclude elevated pavements with a
boundary wire loop. Place the wire 30 cm
away.
Even pavements don’t need to be
excluded. The Mowox robot can drive over.
The boundary wire is allowed to cross the
pavement. Beware of loose loops in the
< 35%
< 17% slope
