CONFORMITY CRITERIA OF F1 COMPONENTS

The control must be performed in the order described below.
Before proceeding with the control, make sure that the helmets is equipped with all original
parts. Then, proceed as described in the following section.
List of conformity criteria
1) Control of the shell (all models)
Definition of the shell areas
Horizontal plane (axis
used for visor rotation)
Lower area
(excluding lower
edges)
Upper area
Nickel shells (F1, F1S, F1E, F1SF)
1-1 – Upper area
(above the horizontal plane in the above figure) :
if light scratch or small star pattern, the shell is conform,
if nickel (or paint) is loose
(unstuck) on 4 cm² (single piece) : replace the shell
if nickel (or paint) is missing
on 1 cm² (single piece) : replace the shell
1-2 – Lower area
below the horizontal plane on the above figure :
if nickel (or paint) is missing
on 4 cm² (single piece) : replace the shell
1-3 – Complete shell (all models)
