INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the product of MSG equipment.
The present user manual consists of the information on the application, supply slip,
specifications, methods of evaluation of technical condition of automobile alternators and rules
of safe operation of the MS002 COM test bench.
Read carefully this manual before putting MS002 COM (hereinafter “the test bench”) into
operation.
Due to the permanent improvements of the bench, the design, supply slip and software are
subject to modifications that are not included to the present user manual. Pre-installed bench
software is subject to update. In future, its support may be terminated without a prior notice.
1. APPLICATION
The bench is designed for a quick and a first-class diagnostics of automotive alternators, starters,
and voltage regulators - separate from alternators and starters. The bench is of high power, to
diagnose the units at the wide load range. During the diagnostics of alternator, the bench imitates
the alternator operation in a car
The bench functions as follows:
- evaluates the technical condition and identifies the failed element (unit) of 12/24V alternator of
light motor vehicles and trucks;
- checks the performance capacity of voltage regulator - separate from alternator;
- evaluates the technical condition of 12/24V starters of light motor vehicles and trucks at idle.
